This is a confidential, supportive session for individual exploration of personal issues. Tailored to each individual or adolescent's (12+) needs, the session focuses on promoting personal growth, understanding, and healthier coping strategies through evidence-based techniques. Addressing challenges such as stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, we will work collaboratively to set goals, monitor progress, and adjust treatment as necessary, aiming to enhance overall well-being.

A Safeguard or Mental Health & Wellness Check has been traditionally offered to first responders, but anyone can benefit from checking in on their mental wellness. It involves exploring four domains of wellness - physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness. We also discuss coping strategies, provide education on typical responses to stress or critical incidents, and discuss available resources. Psychometric tests may be used to evaluate and monitor symptoms. A referral for therapy could be recommended if additional support is needed.

Flashbacks, restless nights, and quick-trigger irritability aren’t personal failings—they’re signs your brain is carrying too much of the job home.
Our Trauma & Operational-Stress Injury therapy, private or through WCB, helps traumatized individuals or trauma-exposed professionals like first responders, health-care providers, and military members process critical incidents, release guilt, and rebuild calm. Using EMDR, ART, CPT, DBT skills, and niche I-CBT for intrusive thoughts, we tailor evidence-based care to your specific goals, in-person or online.

Couples Therapy and Relationship Check-Up sessions are 80-minute appointments grounded in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships. Couples therapy is designed for partners who are experiencing ongoing challenges and want support improving communication, resolving conflict, and rebuilding connection over time. The relationship check-up is a structured, proactive assessment that helps couples identify strengths and areas for growth before difficulties escalate. Both options use tailored discussions and evidence-based exercises to deepen understanding, increase intimacy, and support long-term relationship health.

I-CBT (Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) for OCD is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on how obsessive doubt is formed and maintained. Rather than targeting anxiety or compulsions directly, I-CBT helps clients identify and disengage from the reasoning process that leads them to distrust their senses and lived experience. Therapy involves learning to recognize obsessional narratives, rebuild confidence in reality-based thinking, and reduce reliance on compulsive behaviours. This approach is particularly effective for individuals who feel stuck in doubt, mental checking, or reassurance-seeking patterns.

At Manas Psychological Services, we are proud to offer Frontline Regulation: Awareness & Regulation Training — a practical, evidence-informed program designed for first responders, trauma-exposed professionals, and their families. This workshop teaches participants how to recognize stress responses, apply in-the-moment regulation skills, and strengthen recovery after difficult calls or shifts.
This is our first specialized training offering, with more workshops and programs currently in development. Stay tuned for additional opportunities to support resilience, awareness, and connection — both on shift and at home.
