Even if you’re not ready for therapy, a Safeguard or Health & Wellness Check offers an annual, confidential 80-minute appointment to keep your mental health fit for duty—no different from a physical with your family doctor.
Health & Wellness Checks not only uncover current challenges, but also highlight your strengths and sources of resiliency. They establish a valuable baseline for tracking progress throughout your career or journey!
- Evidence-based screening – PCL-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7, RISC and the Operational-Stress Injury Check-Up.
- Brief consult + feedback – Talk through sleep, mood, exposure levels, and coping skills with a psychologist who “gets” the job.
- Early warning & referral – Catch red flags long before they become critical incidents or time-off claims.
- Meets emerging Canadian standards – the CACP Psychological Services Committee recommends routine, mandatory mental-health checks for police and other public-safety personnel under the Safeguard model. cacp.ca
